1. Sizing for standard adult ashes
Our Marble Ashes Urn measures approximately 7" long by 7" wide by 8" high, sized to hold standard adult cremated remains. If a crematory has provided the exact weight or volume of the remains, it is worth double-checking against those numbers before ordering, particularly for a larger-than-average adult.
Practical tip:
When in doubt about sizing, ask the funeral home or crematory directly - they can tell you the volume of remains in cubic inches, which is the most reliable way to confirm an urn will hold everything.
2. How the lid seals
Look for a well-fitted lid that sits securely rather than one that rattles or shifts when moved - ours is designed to keep contents safely and respectfully enclosed. Handle the lid gently when placing or removing it, and avoid dropping or jarring the urn.
